Our licensed and highly experienced special educational professionals provide the highest level of support. Once diagnosed with a learning disability by an educational psychologist, it is imperative that you then take the next step to receive the correct support to bridge the achievement gap. This needs to be administered by licensed and qualified individuals who have experience in the school system, to help the student navigate and remove any barriers. We are trained in evidence-based interventions such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, and various other math and reading interventions.

Tutors provide guidance and support for completing assignments and homework. They ensure that students understand the material and concepts they're working on. However, we do not do it for them and prefer this not to be the session's main objective.

Hong Kong and many countries do not have licensure or registration specifically for Special Education professionals, which may lead to unqualified professionals administering interventions that require a high amount of training to be effective. Our specialists have specialized training, appropriate licensure, and qualifications that are recognized by the US government to work with all learning disabilities and to provide the interventions determined as best fit for the student. For example, we would not have our speech pathologist work as a learning specialist.
It is important for parents to do diligence by ensuring the professionals have licensure that has been approved by a government body. Child safeguarding is all of our responsibilities, and we need to confirm students are getting highly qualified and licensed professionals- especially when it concerns ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, and special education.
